Note to ek

9 months....and you are a go getter!! This is an awesome quality that I hope you never lose. If you want something, you get it! Not by crying or having someone give to you...you find a way, take the steps, and then celebrate the success. Never forget the celebrate, now we clap and shriek and some day we will pop some bubbly! Your determination and independence are going to take you to big things in this world..my mom once wrote me a note about when I came home it was like a good tornado visit. Lulu better get ready because you and me means the storm just got stronger!


Ek you are do busy at 9 months. You don't crawl but scoot very fast. You love anything you can feed yourself, Cheerios, mac n cheese, English muffin in the am, bananas, but your favorite grapes. You are loud and love to babble and sing. Still love your bath. You sleep through the night! Your a very happy and easy going girl! Not much you don't like. No teeth yet.

EK we love you so much!! Remember there is nothing you can't do, make a plan and go get it!! We will always be behind you and ready to celebrate!

EK's newest face!!  Makes me laugh so hard every time.  She's not mad or upset.  She makes the funniest noise to go along with this face...look at her eyes....can't stop laughing while posting....EK you are wild!!!

Etta has a rat taillll!!

 EK's first haircut!  EK has a rat tailllll....she laughed hard in the bath every time this was said.  So I will say, I made her a haircut appointment at the salon.  She may as well start early!!  Builder just laughed but he knows I don't cut straight so I will not be cutting her hair.  But the appointment was on the one and only snow day.  After lots of baths because of that nasty bug....I decided it was time I do it myself.  Two cuts and she has perfect stack...really is coming in stacked!!

Bug

Yes we have been hit with our first flu bug...I will first look at the positive side, EK is almost 9 months and this is our first bug.  On the other side the bug hitting her has moved quickly on to me, Builder, Miss Tina and Miss Mia.  Last night we all had.  You know Builders sick when he has to come home from work...I have been explaining to him these kid bugs are different then we are use to.  I think he gets it now.  Poor guy has it the worse.

SNOW Day!

SNOW DAY!!!!  SNOW DAY!!!!  Something perfect about a snowy day!!!!

EK LOVED the snow!!  Snow Day for the school kids so EK spent a great day with Miss Tina and Mia!  At lunch we got EK in her sled and she loved the sled ride from Miss Mia.  She was belly laughing and would screech 'to go' when Mia stopped.  

I think she is ready for the slopes...haha!! 

Winter Weekend

Perfect winter weekend.... Fires, toys, relaxing, shopping, and more firsts for EK..we had a family night of take out on Saturday.  Since the wait was an hour we got drinks at the bar and food to go. EK loved eating her squeeze dinner while people watching, who does she get that from? More in another post on my love of the squeeze food, builder is slowing coming around, he's all about cost and me convenience! So back to the first for EK....
1. EK is all about feeding herself and eating what others have. No ...she doesn't get it all but last night was a triple date and she LOVED green peppers from Murray's! That's my girl!
2. One proud pappa, EK had steak! She has not done so big for a few weeks even when asked, no joke she took her first bite of steak and looked at pappa smiled huge and did SO GOOD! I was ready with camera.
3. Same meal, she enjoyed 1 French fry, fancy potatoe fry!
4. Not all new but worth noting, she has mastered drinking out of the sippy cup of water, she will loudly screech when she can't reach it.  Girl can make some noise!  Still working on tipping it back by herself.

So EK loved date night! How is it already time for another week? Time flies when your having fun!!!

Builder builds again

So last Wednesday at dinner here is the conversation
Me: so during the MU/KU saturday lets paint our room
Builder: what
Me: just not feeling the color and can't get the decor to work. Don't worry I have a plan.

So here is what it looks like now. Builder amazes me again with his skills. Love it!

super game weekend

What a weekend. MU vs KU was a incredible. So we did sell our tickets, totally lame, right. Told builder this was a first parent decision. Could not pass the money offered, builder could work, and no sitter cost...spread was too high. So ek and I finished painting...another post, I'm redoing my room! Ek went to bed and I enjoyed the game with oh bother and a fire. What a game!!! Mizzourah! I was nervous there at the end and they sure did power back. Proud to be a tiger!!

Superbowl Sunday was enjoyed with great friends! Ek loved having her friends over, even if they still sleep most of the time! She gave some friendly pulls. The girls are going to have so much fun together!!!

Pops

Watching the excitement build in builder this week made me smile for so many reasons. I love the love he has for his dad. Pure strong love. Ek and I also soaked in pops time each morning while it was still dark, pops singing to ek, coffee brewing, and oh bother laying his head as close to pops as possible..great start to my days.

The boys (not oh bother he's a city pup)laughed, worked hard, talked, caught the tractor on fire, laughed, and worked hard sun up to sun down. Smiling the whole time even as the tractor was on fire!
