We are having so much fun enjoying family, beautiful 80 degree (as the high) weather, the beach, great food and many laughs!! This place is truly beautiful! Etta Kate and oh bother both love the beach!! Who knew he could swim!! Lots more relaxing ahead!

Summer update

We had a fabulous weekend at home and a great NORMAL start to our week. Our Miss Tina has been gone for 3 weeks and we were all ready to be back on schedule or at least for a week. We both leave for one more week vacation. Our weekend involved house projects, it has been awhile but felt so good. Making some headway on the master decor, still going slow and making sure I love it. More to come! Ek has been plagued with all her teeth at once and a nasty cold or something, on the mends now. Nursery planning in progress as well so excited about my find, still so surreal that I'm in the 16th week! Felt some major movement last night and have a feeling with two this will be constant, love it!

Ek will be 14 months Friday and is full of spunk and 100% girl these days. Loves to talk on the phone, get baby, dress up in her tutu! She feeds oh bother every morning and night, they are buds! She is walking or climbing at all times. Does a lot of babbling and still has the same words, favorite word is "BYE" said like she is strainght from the south. Eats tons of fruit and loves to chug water from a water bottle as soon as she wakes up. She is a little fish and has a tan to prove it, promise she is covered in 50. She is a blast and we love her so much!

Looking forward to packing up and heading to Michigan Saturday. Weather in the 80s we are all ready! Yes by all, I do mean oh bother is headed on this trip!

Weekend Away



I was away celebrating the Bride to Be's last days being single.  We had a great time shopping, eating, others drinking in the Windy City!  Also squeezed in a visit with one of my besties, Courtney.  Day spent going on a power walk, poolside, and chatting =perfection!

Everyone in our house had a weekend away! Etta Kate spent the weekend with Lulu and Poppy.  Pappa was at home with Oh Bother working hard the whole time.



EK got to get a new pair of shoes with Lulu at Lauries of course!

FUN times with Poppy!  EK had a blast and gave Lulu a 3.5  and 4 hour nap, that doesn't happen at home!  Must be for her 'BABA' so funny that right now this is what she calls Lulu and Poppy.  I have not heard it since we got home.  Makes me laugh!!  Great weekend!!

Morning with the Clydesdales

This morning we went with friends, Allens and Wrights to the Clydesdales Breeding barn.  This has been on our list as it is right outside of Columbia in Boonville.  Who knew that they were right here?  The Budweiser Clydesdales.  It was a very fun morning with friends.

This horse was closer than I like.  The barn and stables were all gorgeous.  Every detail thought of and so well kept.

EK loves Emery Jane!  Right no her 2 buds Hattie Jean and Emalyne are not quite walking so she is all over the place following EJ.  They had a great time running in the trailer used to transport the horses.

SOOO tired by the end.  It was HOT once again today, it was nice this was in the morning.  Great day at the horse barn!

Fresh Zucchini Bread with a twist

First attempt at making Zucchini bread and it was a success.  The twist was adding chocolate chips!  Thanks Jenny for the recipe.  It was easy to make, I loved using my garden fresh zucchini, and it tasted fabulous.

EK was the first to taste and she just about ate that whole slice!  Side note:  look at all that hair!  Dessert was good and I woke up and had this for breakfast today!

Sunflowers brought home by pappa!  Love fresh flowers!!

Beatin' the HEAT!

First attempt at pigtails!  She did not mind and were perfect for the HOT day at the pool.  It was the 8th day of 100 plus temps.  Usually summer heat doesn't bother me but this hot for so long and no rain.  We are in need of relief.  I am so thankful for air conditioning and pray for those without it.  Still 95 at 9:00pm...that is hot.  They say that we have a few more days and then Sunday should bring in the change.  Praying for rain!!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!!!  I love the red, white, and blue this day brings out!  It was a hot, hot, hot day (been at or over 100 for 8 days!) We still enjoyed a great lunch out at the farm with the Manda Family.  A fun family tradition. 

Pappa and Pops!  Two buds!  They worked hard yesterday afternoon and this am to get the farm ready for everyone to enjoy.  It looked fabulous!  Few new touches with the porch painted red, tons of pumpkins growing, and CHICKENS! 

Family shot! Not looking but I am use to that and still cute!  Love the Manda firework outfit!  As you know from last year these started back when Pappa was a kid.  EK is wearing an original, it is a jon jon but still super cute!  We will get a dress next year!
