Darn Bug...33 weeks

So I caught the dreaded flu bug early Sunday am.  Coming from someone who gets sick a lot during pregnancy, I could tell this was different.  It only got more miserable as the sun came up. Ugh.  I won't go into any more detail but it felt like I was dying.  Body aches and sick.  I can't remember being that sick.  Bless poppa because I didn't move from bathroom floor or bed all day (for real I didn't move).  I was concerned for Tiny but knew by the kicks and movement we both hated it but were trying to get through it.

So I had an already scheduled doc appointment this morning, perfect timing.  I had this gut feeling it was going to be a long appointment and told poppa when I woke up.  I was feeling better but everything felt drained.  Fast forward I was omitted to the hospital due to Tiny's heartbeat low.  Doc's hope was severe dehydration and stress from flu. Once the IV started Tiny was back to normal, even got the hiccups.  2 liters later we hope to be headed back to cooking stage.

The words if this doesn't fix fast we will deliver when your not truly ready will never come easy.  It did make me feel better that this time I was past the 32 week mark at 33 weeks but still full term is what we want.  Every thought crosses your mind and truly you have no control.  Doc reassured me this is all because of a flu bug and I'm not alone she just had a patient through the same because of the bug.

So I'm going to focus on this as Tiny's way of telling me, get ready momma. So I'll be taking it slow but time to get the baby laudry and  gear ready, and bag packed.

I'll go in for 2nd steroid shot tomorrow and heart check to be sure all is still going strong.

In other medical news..great news on MM's count 77k today!!!!! Best jump yet!!

So the Mandas hope to stay out if the medical news for awhile!

In fun weekend news the Manda girls got new wheels.  Gia's find early Saturday morning!  All 3 approve and someone has become quite the driver! Watch out crazy taxi (tractor)!!

Poppa's Girls

We have 3 girls that adore their Poppa.  It's one of those things that makes me smile just thinking about.  I am close with my dad and this relationship is so special.  They light up when he walks into the room, they want him when they fall, they love to cuddle with him, they think he is the best singer, in EKs words "best poppa in the whole world".
Maugs is extra partial to her Poppa! Her one clear word.  Her favorite is to rocked to sleep by him ...again makes me smile!
He is so hands on and truly invested in these girl's lives.  Today is one of those days I just have to capture it all, it's not all picture perfect and I'm blessed to have poppa as my partner in this journey.  Not sure how he does it lately working full days at the flip house (need to post on this adventure, yes we are flipping another house, that's what we do before babies are born! ) and still working at the bar 3 nights a week.  I pretty sure he would not change a thing (well he would take more sleep!).  We love our Poppa!!

3rd Annual Manda Egg Hunt

This year was a complete success !! Weather was perfect, first year so many little ones understood how to hunt eggs and did I say perfect day!!!
This has become one of my favorite events.  I love holiday traditions and this one with friends is a blast!
Group picture is what you expect, manda littles wanted nothing to do with picture. Kiddos 5 to 3 weeks!
Fun morning of hunting, playing, and this year I added a craft.  Bunny making was a success!!
Sweetest bunny dresses made by our Mimi!! A little history, Mimi made a Jon Jon longall for poppa with the same style bunny but blue on yellow when I think he was around eks age.  Classic look! Thanks Mimi!

Looking forward to the 4th annual next year !!

Scenes from the weekend

Started the weekend with this blackout purchase. Fun Friday night for all!

Poppa and the girls went to visit family in KC. It had been way to long with all our sickness and weather.  I was sad to miss out.  It's a challenge to travel with the girls and he did it alone (help once he arrived!).  One con to a scheduled babe is get off and you pay x2. Worth it every now and then but also reminds you of why we keep to a schedule with twins.  So not great sleep and clingy girls, they all still enjoyed seeing everyone.
So warm on Saturday!!
Visit to Pops Farm!
3 girls sleeping in the back of a truck!
Best poppa, all dressed up!

I spent Saturday showering a close friend and then catching up with another bestie. My stomach hurt from laughing.  Love good friends, pick up like no time had passed.
Bride to be!
Sweetest babe ever!
Spent Sunday morning getting snuggles from GBO! Love her! Best babe and loved my one on one with her.

Great weekend and we were all happy to be back together home Sunday night.

Update on MM counts: Today MM was 48k!!! Last week was 37k.  The jump over 40 is huge, first time since this started.  We get to wait 2 weeks for next check. We are thrilled with the progress!!!

It's the small things

This morning was one of those mornings that made me smile! Girls all slept through the night, I was able to wake first and get ready alone, we ate breakfast and then still had plenty if time for a Starbucks run with the windows down and the music turned up!
Everyone was happy and a great start to a perfect spring day! Amazing how the sun can make you feel!

Little Minds

I LOVE how little minds work and lately I'm left amazed at how much these 3 girls are learning and changing.  Amazing.  The littles can follow directions so well now, Matilda's favorite is to sign more and point to marshmallows I have in jar.  Ask her to sit on bum (no she's not a pup) and she will for the treat! Margaret loves to read and her favorite book to request is "are you my mother"! Then there is the mind of an almost 3 year, her imagination is the best.  Her stories about princesses (where this love came from must be a girl thing because we don't have princess stuff), her momma tone when she is being the momma, and her vocabulary. I just love watching them all interact and communicate.  Littles can't talk words but EK plays like they can!  Watching scenes like the below is why I love my kiddos are so close ... Best friends!
Side note: EK still has an obsession with the 18-24 month sized pink puffer vest, and always wears the swear shirt or fleece on top.  This is worn daily!  Also obsessed with pink and purple, everything must be pink and purple!

Scenes from the weekend!
Best tire swing at our friends!

First time driving and she drives like get momma! Didn't get that she had to turn! Seeing poppa chase car so she would stop before the creek left me in tears.  She was on a mission hence the poppa tongue and her buddy Sam did not approve!

Girls love when this flies over the house. They got to see up close this weekend!

Starting off as a gloomy week but ready for the sun and warmer temps this week!
