Sweet Dreams Trudy

This room just came together for me.  I love the fresh, slightly girly and classic look.
A must have book nook.
Loved how this turned out.  Miss Trudy will know her name that's for sure!
Love how that box wall offers a subtle accent.  Sweet dreams Trudy!

Thanks A for the pics.

22 months - note to Littles

This month involved lots of watermelon and pophoms (Popsicle) eating. Your favorites!
We have been soaking up all the summer fun this month before school.  You both love outside, swinging, swimming, riding cozy coups on the deck and playing babies.  You both love your sisters.  MF the proud face you still get when we ask you if you want to hold Trudy melts my heart. MM when EK calls your name, you answer back with her name, so cute! Growing so fast!!

Note to my littles:
This month with no school, no trips, just normal days we really focused to enjoying the simple things.  There is always ways to want more or bring more or do more but remember this at times simple is best.  Good ole fashion simple fun just playing in your jams! Remember when life gets busy to step back and enjoy the simple everyday things.  Stop and soak it in.

Thank goodness I love my doctor because waiting in a doc office is the worst.
Lots going on here ....!!!  And then...

Somebody always ends up like this ....
I can't remember what even happened but it was short lived and Trudy is a happy and healthy! 2 month check at 2 1/2 months, check! I didn't forget popular doc with a busy schedule.
Big heads runs in this family!!!!
Next appointment will be a true circus with 1 4 month check and 2 for 2 years, until then!

Your going to miss this ...

2 month - oh Trudy

Oh how I love you so much!! I would love you no matter what but you are the best baby ever.  I said it last month and mean it! I have been truly blessed these past 2 months.  Happy, good sleeper, love to eat, flexible, snuggley, so sweet, laid back, happy and now smiley and cooing.  You have experienced the beach/vacation and loved it!  Bottom line best baby!

Note to Trudy:
You are the lucky 4th member to a sisterhood bond that nobody has but you 4 now little (someday old) ladies have.  I have one and can't imagine having 2 more.  Lucky girls.  Your sisters are those that will always love you no matter what. The bond has stages so there will be a time in life you read this and may not agree with me but I will tell you this ...keep those sisters close because just like that the next stage of life you will need them.

Love you lots!
Momma

21 months - Note to the Littles

This picture says it all about you two at 21 months.  Keeping shoes on you is a full time job but a fun job because you are both full of energy and spunk!  MM you prefer one shoe no matter what.  MF your feet prefer shoes but you like to take them off with your sister, but then immediately request them back on.  You both are talking more each day and no doubt know what you want.  You both have the funniest laughs, MF has a raspy hackle and MM puts hand in front of face then laughs.  I wonder if that will stay with your high pitch voice when you talk!

Favorites:
Love the word Otto! All animals are Otto!
Love to play with babies
MF obsessed with the dog leash
MM loves any fruit! MF started liking fruit!
MF loves meat, turkey is favorite!
Both love doggies
Loved the beach and sand
Love swimming
Love EK and Trudy
Both very interested in going ewwwe

Notes to my littles:
Explore the world.  Travel and get out of your comfort zone.  There is so much to see but you also grow so much as a person.  Taking you both on our summer vacation we saw all the above.  You are put in new situations and you learn to adjust, you learn to enjoy the simple things when traveling because you don't  have everything home does, you interact with different people, learn to read maps, and in the end learn independence.  There is a huge works our there so go see it!  Poppa found this and it's our now your motto to travel..

Lots of love! Momma

Summer with my little ladies ...

Maternity leave is over and it's back to work for momma.  Mixed emotions as I prepared but truly I love my work so I'm ready to get back at it.  I'm headed back a week early due to our workload so I better be ready!

We have a few more weeks before school so it was a first for Trudy.  Her first day with our new nanny share.  Couldn't be happier to have this set up with another great family.  Trudy is in good hands with lots of fun ahead with her buddy Ryan.

This was the picture sent to me after her first ever bottle. Happy girl and happy day!

God Bless Trudy

On a beautiful sunny Sunday we celebrated the baptism of Trudy surrounded by family and friends.
So blessed.  These darling cherry dresses were made by Mimi! Cutest dresses ever! Can't thank her enough.

We enjoyed lunch and catching up before heading to church.  Thank you Tootie for helping with the party details.

Sweetest little girl.  She is so happy!

So much love!

We were honored to have Trudy's uncle Louie and my best friend Annie as her god parents.  She is one lucky baby.

4 girls!!! Still there are days I can't believe it!

We love you Gertrude Elizabeth!

Southern Living

We had the best time down south soaking it all in.  Something about that area makes me feel at home (but I do love my MO home).  We truly got the best  weather in Savannah and so many summer bucket list items crossed off the list.

We parked the cars and other than our drives to the beach, strollers were our form of transportation.  I would love to walk everywhere back at home but then there is reality! So we did on vacation.

We swam and swam.  It's a lot getting to the pool at home but when it's is few steps away, we could swim a lot!  All girls loved jumping in and going under.

We had a random picnic while watching outdoor theatre in Knoxville.  Unplanned and so much fun!

We ate a lot of southern cooking.  Even got a table at Paula Dean's, The Lady & Sons.  Something wild got into the girls at this meal so thank goodness the food was yummy.

We spent a lot if time as a family of 6 and that was truly the best.
After a fun final stop in KY to see Auntie Sarah and Uncle John we were back to our home sweet home!

Beach Babes!

Hilton Head here we come!

These girls loved it!!!!
Picture above was there exact beach personalities. MF ran around nonstop, MM loved laying on her belly in water, EK dug in the sand and T relaxed under umbrella.

First time in the ocean for the Littles.  Makes my heart smile.  Unsure at first and then pure love.
I love the beach.  Watching the girls love it makes me love love it more.

Next day Tybee Island.  4 girls!!!  Beach and babies = lucky momma

Builder was loving the beach time as well.

Ready for next years trip!!

Few more stops before our adventure ends...
