Weekend Fun in STL

Girls weekend in STL to see Sesame Street Live was a success!!  Thanks to our Aunt Liz for the heads up on the tickets.  All the girls had a blast!!

Everyone really enjoyed the show!! EK loved when the characters came off the stage!

Farm Days

Something about farm days that are good for the soul. 

We all love something different about this special place.

I love having another place to be creative and decorate!

Poppa and I both have loved this picture for awhile and Lulu and Poppy gave it to him for Christmas.

New back porch has been a challenge with poor ventilation but fun to decide how to use the space.  Love how the covered ottoman turned out.

The girls love the anything goes at the farm but most of all going to see Mr.Peter's horses and Mr. Daryl's cows.

Poppa loves it all! He truly loves watching everyone enjoy themselves there, loves the peace that surrounds the house and barn and all the projects.  He is at home when we see that big red barn.

Just for my record

We are just like any family with littles in the winter, fighting bugs to stay healthy.  We have had a 24 hour stomach bug for Margaret, ear infection &pink eye for Trudy, terrible cough/cold bug for EK and Matilda,  ....All in the last 2 weeks.  Honestly we have had it worse in past years so I'm really not complaining however I would welcome more sleep at night. Girls have been in good spirits and today we were all ready to go back to school and SNOW DAY!! 

Poppa has worked hard with the girls on writing during this little break. 

Matilda wrote her name all my herself for the first time connecting the dots!!

EK is doing great writing by herself!

This picture makes me so happy!! They can all basically dress themselves for the snow and that has been huge!

Otto ❤️

There are not many posts about this pup but we do have 4 little girls that love their dog.

We call Matilda "dog walker".  It started as her actually walking him and then it stuck for most things Otto needs. She is so proud of the title and most days she is the first down to let him out in the morning and always ready to help him.  

Headed to the farm and made a Home Depot stop and everyone was happy with taking a dog in a store! 

Otto really is the best dog ever!! He doesn't jump, chew, and stairs make him nervous.  He loves expensive food, a fluffy dog bed, naps and scratches.  He hates the car, water and hardwood floors. I say my one and only dog ever but I know that won't stand with poppa and the girls. We love our Otto!

Snowy Saturday

EK woke up and ran to the window... No snow yet! But it wasn't long before the snow was falling.

Mid morning donut break!

Back out for more! Beach toys in the summer = snow toys in the winter.  I got on my snow pants and enjoyed the fun!

A welcomed mess!! If it's going to be cold I do like snow especially on a Saturday!! 4 inches of snow was the perfect amount, covered grass and trees but not snowed in.

This little lady wore her snow pants and favorite shirt most of the day.  Yes still in love with her Royals shirt!!

It was a great day!!
