Girls Weekend

A weekend with a few of my besties was fabulous!

So many laughs and catching up. We ate great food, drank lots of rosé and had the best time.

 

Coming home to these sweet girls was fun too!

The girls school had Center Sunday at the chapel.  I'm so glad I didn't miss the sweet little voices singing. 

These two were there just not into singing in front of the crowd, that's ok.

Overall a great weekend!!! 

3 1/2 years old

There are so many times I stop and just reflect on the way these 2 miracles entered the world.  I'm still so amazed at the fight they both have.  They fought so hard to be here and I'm forever grateful I was chosen as their momma.

Tonight was the Kindergarten round up.   

She loved seeing her dance buddy and then extra happy they were in the same group, purple butterflies! We walked in and she was off with friends never even looked back.

On the way out we were talking about the uniform and EK goes "I'm excited about everything except that I can't wear leggings under the dress, my feet will be so sweaty in tights".  If you know EK no surprise, that girl has always loved her leggings.

Weekend Recap

Spring weather means Starbuck runs on the way to school! 

First to rise everyday!! All smiles and picked out her dress to go solo on a trip to SAMs with Poppa.  Did you know SAMs is open at 7am on a Saturday?

It has been a while since I ran with the stroller and I have to say I had a you are going to miss this moment on the trail when I got done and saw my sleeping baby.  I have run with all 4 and this is my last.  

Perfect day for a soccer game!

Played against EKs old school friend Oliver.  These two were best buds and had fun seeing each other.  

The weather was so too nice for naps but this meant a very early 6:00pm bedtime.  

Sunday fun day at the farm with special visitors.  It was a fabulous day!

EK and Poppy hiked. No shirts required.

While Lulu and I with the 3 littles made a Strawberry Hill run. 

We all love this place.

Proof Poppy can still hang from the monkey bars or as he corrected me 'skinned the car'.

Can't go to the farm and not visit Peter and see the horses.  EK got to ride this week, littles passed.

We had a fabulous weekend full of sunshine,outdoors and fun!

Fixer Upper

Who doesn't love Fixer Upper?!! Even EK loves Chip!!! So this weekend we did our own version. It would not be fixer upper without ship lap!

I love a weekend project, my Chip, and the outcome of the room!! 

Few other weekend updates.  Soccer fun continued and it was our week to bring treats.

Poppa also received a Alumni Service award from his Fraternity.  We had a fun night celebrating with the Farm House guys and wives.

Kindergarten Screening

So now the wheels are in motion.  First came the acceptance and this past week was the screening. Not a great picture with the sun but it works!

Poppa took her and he said she jumped right in and did great.  

 When I picked her up from school and asked her about she said,"Mom, it was so fun and the teachers were so nice, this Lady of Lourdes (leaves out Our every time) thing is going to be great"!!

I have said it already, part of my heart is sad and I'm sure I'll cry during PreK graduation but I'm a gut feeling person and this girl is ready and her quote reassures that she is and that we have her at the right place.  Next up Kindergarten round up and uniform order!

Just What I Needed....

A weekend full of sunshine and relaxed fun.  

Soccer started back on Saturday.  

Can you believe that this time last year was the first soccer game for EK that was best described as a disaster.  Not this year.  

These two truly hustled the entire game and played by the rules.  My favorite moment was when the other team scored and EK looked at ER and says "boohoo".  At the end of fall EK got frustrated when other team scores but now she understands it all part of the game!!!

The park was calling our names after nap.

Love weekends where we can just play outside. 

These girls are so lucky to live with their best friends.  Sweet sisters but they are laughing because MF tooted.  Little ladies obsessed with toots and poop, they belly laugh so hard even Trudy.  Confession I laugh as well!

Farm days are so good for the soul, I know I say it every time but it's so true.

 The creek walk did end like this for these two, real life!

They were happy and dry a few minutes later.

 Lots of helpers to start and then Poppa and I did most of the planting.  Loved it!

The weather was so nice we had to squeeze in more fun with dinner at friends.

Everyone ended the weekend at little sun kissed and happy!
