Sweet Margaret Moment

It was our normal evening and the littles were snug in their bed.  Then I hear MF crying.  I go in to see what is up and she says "I need Granny".  To which I very nicely explain that is so sweet but Granny has gone to heaven, remember.  "Bring her back" followed by big tears.  Hugs and words did not help her so I said say a prayer to her tonight.  "No I want to hold her".  I am confused at this point.  She points to the picture....I have a picture of Granny as a young girl over the girls dresser where we changed diapers/get dressed and I talked about her from the start. 

The next night the same request....

I know my Granny has been with these girls since the start.  Poppy did get to tell her they were born and their names but she was never able to meet them.  My Granny passed on the day they doctors had wanted me to make it to.  Granny was fighter and a lady of independence and stubborn at times, that is our littles.  

To Granny --keep showing up and I love the love my girls have for you.  We talk about you often and I know you laughed when I gave MF your picture and said "Now Granny would want you to stop crying and get some good rest"!

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's 2017 Cards were delivered right on the day this year!!  Big accomplishment!

First year for the Valentine box.  Target for the win!!

She was able to make it all by herself with very little help.

Trudy's class has kids that just come T/TH so she got two parties this year.  Her first Valentine was of course about eggs!!

One of my favorite traditions. Night before Valentine prepping.  The girls love it as well and they really do most of the work!

My absolute favorite part of the cards this year is the girls names are written by them.  But we did not have to write 20 plus times on a tiny card.  The designer was able to scale it down and make it part of the image for printing.  I LOVE them!!!

2017 Valentines

The prep went after our bed time but man I am lucky to have him as partner.  He is so open to helping and we have a fun time doing it together.
