Barn 2 complete

The 2nd barnstorming was a success. This barn was much smaller and metal, took 2 days. So after going to scrap yard and starting a fire, builder was done. So for now builder's ready to focus on our barn.

This weekend builder went to a farm auction. Not for me and ek. He was so excited, perfect Saturday for him; carhart bibs, auction, good eats. Look at the size of those hot cakes! No large buys, his total was $28 while most were between 25k to 50k. Good work builder! He's already talking about next year.

8 months old!!!

Note to EK:  I can't believe that it has been 8 months but at the same time I can't imagine my life without you.  You are FULL of energy and I love the spark that you add to our little family.  You are one happy little girl and always smiling and making noise.  You still have those cheeks and we don't pass many people that don't stop and comment how darn cute they are!!!  My message to you at 8 months for later in life is YOU ARE beautiful inside and out...being a girl is tough and I am right there with you but never loose site of your beauty!  As a girl we all are striving to have what we don't think we have (fit body, thick hair, whatever it may be).  But just know and remember that what you have is perfect.  YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL GIRL!!!  LOVE YOU EK!!

8 months....girl you are loud!!  You love to screech, talk, make any noise.  You still love to pull out the raspberries and make everyone laugh.  Your laugh is the best!!  You are almost crawling, you can get to all four and rock.  Not crawling doesn't keep you from where you want to be though.  You can scoot from the sitting position.  You love rubber duckies, those and your blocks are your go to toys. Fruit and sweet potatoes are all that you like.  Any green veggie will make you vomit, literally.  Cheerios are your favorite (perfect church food as well!)  You have started standing up for a few seconds, not quite pulling yourself up but you try.  Of course still love the bath and your music!  Otto is your best bud and you love feeding him cheerios every morning. He puts up with all your tugs which I tell him will increase but its because you love him so much.  

EK you bring so much to our lives and each month I can't believe how much we all have grown and changed!!

Builder success!!

NO MORE BARN!! No need to worry the fire is part of living in the country, that what he told me! You just let it burn. So the barn is done, I have to say I'm impressed! So you think adventure over, not with builder.... The neighbor stopped and asked if he would take down his barn?? To which I would have politely replied no thanks, builder... He wheeled and dealed and is doing it for some tractor part....so barn storming continues. So if you think project love is just me now builder is all about it! We just have different loves!

Little fishy

Ek went swimming for the first time today!!! Yes can you believe it took me 7 1/2 months. Well just like the bath she loved it!!! Even went under water!!! Swim lessons for the next few Saturdays will get us ready for the summer!!! She went right to sleep after the 30 minute lesson, I see lots of swimming this summer!

Barn storming update

So builder almost burnt the whole thing down....not planned or wanted! Builder loves a good fire and that is just what he got last week on a dry and winder day then he thought. Almost had to call a fire truck for back up. Eagle scout fire badge came to the rescue! After a few good days and some help from friends he is almost done. He has really enjoyed the project, not my idea of fun but that is why we are all different! He has learned a lot he says about deconstructing. Wonder what Walt thought when just builder showed up to take down a barn. And not destroy, save everything of worth....taking nails out of boards, scraping metal, stacking wood perfectly ...barnstorming
