Focus on the Positive

This month brings a lot of "I don't like", "enough already", "over it", "we have had enough" ....so with all those thoughts I'm trying hard to focus on the positives and the "sunny days ahead", "brighter days"," longer days" .

And the healthy smiles (or sassy EK dance moves) we have this week!!

8 months -Oh Trudy

2 teeth!!! Cutest 2 bottom teeth ever.  You think you can eat anything your sisters are eating.  Your favorites are opameal (as your sisters call it), waffles, any fruit, and cheese quesidillas!  Valentine's weekend we made funfetti cookies and you loved them!  You are still the happiest babe on the block. It's not just me, your nanny says it, Lulu and Mimi even said you were happy through the flu bug.  You still know how to be loud and are always talking.  You want to crawl so bad but not quite there.  We moved you out of the baby car seat, still facing back but you seem to like the big seat.  You are always smiling and have the cutest chubby cheeks.  Your sisters adore "baby".  You put up with all their love  very well.   You are so loved Trudy, Gertrude, biscuit and baby.

Oh Trudy,
You are 8 months and you already think you can do it all! And with a little hard work you always can.  Don't think things are just going to be handed to you, always put in the hard work and go the extra mile.  You can do anything you set your mind to.  I am so lucky to be on this journey of life with you!!  I can already tell you that you are headed to do big things!!

Love you! Momma

Snow Day!!!

Best part is we were already off school and work!  Don't get me wrong I love a day off but I'm a creature of habit.  The winter really tests that with late starts and snow days.  But today was a planned hangout with momma day and the snow created lots of fun!  We packed in a lot of fun!!
First real snow this year and first sled ride for Trudy!
Pink hot coco, indoor snow play, and dying snow when littles were napping was messy fun!
Pizza face lunches! MF was not into it.
Great day and back to school and work tomorrow!!

More love from the Little Ladies

A full heart

A much needed mom day after a long week!
Time for some fun!!! Valentine prep!
Painting fun!!! This day was all about fun with momma!!! Missed these babes so much and this day was cherished.  Love seeing the smiles and energy return to my babes!!!!

Fun look back at this year to last year.
Our fun valentines that MM delivered to school for everyone. Ek helped make before I left on trip.

Flu could not take away Valentine fun!

Forever Thankful

What a week...it all started with a nasty flu bug that hit the entire crew and we were out if town. And yes we caught the bug as well.  This nasty bug was no fun and we are forever thankful for Lulu and Mimi who cared for our babes.  So much for my plan that involved most of the time with the girls in school.  MM made it a day and 1/2 and others out all week.

This nasty bug even took Lulu down.  The doc called in meds that helped EK and MF with the extreme nausea.  I have said it before but I'm so lucky to have a fabulous pediatrician that cares about my kids.

It truly was not until today that everyone has been bug free.  An entire week.  The bug is not welcome again.  We have extreme cleaned and every toy in house has been cleaned and everything washed.

Despite battling the flu bug we were able to enjoy the sun and surroundings.  8 hours of sleep that normally doesn't happen really helped.

Poor poppa did get hit in route but was saved by first class travels.  Truly not sure how he did it.  I am forever thankful that I work for a company that rewards hardwork.  President Club Trip was again top notch.
A hug thank you to Lulu and Mimi that made the best team in fighting this bug.  We love you both and look forward to playtime next visit.

Say Goodbye

Yes the truth is the littles have still been taking one bottle at bed time.  It was not a routine I was going to change until they were ready.  I don't mess with sleep!

Now that the girls are potty trained the bottle filled their tummy and naturally they had to go to the bathroom around 10 pm.  Was not a pleasant time with a half asleep babe.  So it was time to give it up.  No more bottles!!!  Love these bottles so much but won't miss cleaning them.  They were the best game changer and I recommend to anyone with twins or babes that don't like to be held to eat.
How did we make the switch, let the girls pick out pacies. I know, I know!! But truth is they still need something and I have no doubt they can get rid of a pacie as well when they need to.  For now they are little.  So they both picked out pacies with cats on them... Gross!!

In potty news they both are doing great and officially done with diapers.  Even dry through nap and pull up at night.

They grow so fast!
