3 little ladies on the soccer field

Tiny Trudy Dancer!!!

Trudy's turn to dance!!!!  First dance class!!

So proud to now have her turn for pictures at dance after lots of  watching the past 3 years.

Everything is more fun with a friend. Ry and Trudy are Besties!!!

So excited!!

Little ballerinas are the cutest!!

Mom win!!  This year I really focused on the planning of our after school activities. I want the girls to be involved and lets be honest when winter hits we need things do.  But the schedule can quickly get out of hand.  So when picking times I first set what would work for us and then talked with friends about who could do what.  We were not able to sync up with everyone but that is ok.  We dance on Monday and Thursdays for 1 hour each time.  EK and Trudy both have class on Monday and then Thursday EK takes jazz and M & M have class.  My sitter helps with picks ups so that everyone can come home, get a snack, change and regroup for the next activity.  Thank goodness for good help!

EK's last year in a combo Ballet/Tap class.

These two danced together 2 years ago and loved being back together!!  Clara and EK!

4th year dancing together and school buddies!!

You should have seen the moves these girls had!

Fun year ahead and all 4 can't wait to go on the stage!!

Night at the Rodeo

Despite a few of the looks these 4 were SO excited for a Friday night at the Rodeo

All about the posing these days and hard to get a smile.  Mostly prefers the classic EK face!

Oh Trudy!  Cowboy boots and all!

Sweet Margaret!

Matilda was more worried about getting to the rodeo, no time for pictures!

Here we go!

They all really watched what was going on.  Perfect weather for a rodeo!

Fun night with our besties!  All 7 of these girls get along so well.  We love watching who will play with who because it always changes.

Sweet girls under the lights.

After Rodeo dance party with live music.  These girls love to dance!!!

Dads holding down the fort.

Headed out after and these 2 notice there we horses back in the ring.  We could not get them to leave.  Matilda loved the Rodeo Queen and wants to wear the sparkle outfit and ride on the horse backwards like this years Queen did!!

11pm and all smiles!

MM soaking it all in.
I am not an horse lover but I do love the Rodeo.  The atmosphere, the excitement, and this year the weather.  Perfect night!!

Be Kind

To My Girls,
If I do one thing right as a parent I hope you always remember this 'be kind'.  No matter the person, their choices, their race, religion, sexual orientation, political views, and any other differences there may be ... Always be kind. Two wrongs don't make a right.  Hate gets us no where.  Be kind to all with your words and your actions.

Love you, Momma

2017 Total Solar Eclipse

This was a day to remember.  So much hype and we had no idea what to expect.

Very special moment shared in our own backyard with the one I love. It was not something we planned out and the unexpected time together witnessing what turned out to be incredible was an awesome moment I will never forget.  It felt like time stood still as we witnessed the total solar eclipse.

I never really thought about keeping the girls home from school but as I was taking them to school I was hoping I made the right choice.  Again I was unsure what to expect and I felt the girl would each learn so much more being in the learning environments geared towards their level of learning. In this parenting choice I was so right.  The schools went all out and the all 3 of the older girls were able to inform me of what happened and as they witnessed the moment they were so aware of what they were seeing.  I am afraid if I kept them at home they would have been more focused on playing to really understand what was taking place.

OLLIS had each class outside for the hour leading up to it covering lessons geared toward their year level.

Observing the history on the Trinity playground.

Miss Huggins had so many great lessons that she covered that day and in the end M & M both understood what was taking place.

Matilda loved the glasses and came home hours later still wearing them.

Ended the day with a "moon" cake aka chocolate cake from our neighbors. Trudy did miss the eclipse because of her nap time but at her age it was better she got her rest.   It was a great day!!
