Time Change

Someone forgot to give EK the memo!!  She was up at her norm exactly.  Early morning but this also meant early to bed so all is good!  EK had a great day, she got to spend some quality time with Pappa while I went to the hospital this afternoon.  EK has a small cough but enough to keep her away from the NICU.

The girls had a good Sunday.  They started with a visit from Lulu and Poppy.  Lulu said Poppy was singing to the girls, DOWN BY TH E BAY.  She had to quiet him because he was getting loud, love it!!  The girls both went up in milk, MM at 17 ml and MF at 10.  They are working on getting MF to slow down just a little bit and not try to catch up so fast, tiny little thing just works so hard.  This morning MF was making her presence known, she was pulling her nose tubes out, strong little thing! The ventilator is helping with her lung capacity.  They also gave MF some antibiotics to fight off any pneumonia that can come when your lungs get depleted and work too hard.  All her x-rays look clear but they want to be safe with it.  I could really tell today that MM is enjoying that milk, she looked fuller in the face and tummy.  MM is weighing 3lbs 6.5 oz and MF 2lbs 4 oz.  Margaret is down in weight which is what they wanted as they got the fluid from her IVs out.  As I mentioned with the large weight gain 2 days ago they thought she might be absorbing IV fluids.  This was the case and they flushed her out.   Dr. O'Connor is very pleased with progress as we continue to say, they just need time to grow.

Best part of the day, I drove myself!!  Felt great!!  I returned phone calls in peace and turned up my music to sing along.  Of course the country song about the guys kid brought tears, I have a soft soft spot these days.
